Campaign Chair Message

Today, in light of the average individual's ever-increasing awareness and knowledge of climate change, alternate energy sources and the restoration and preservation of the world's water reserves, the IISD Vision of "Better living for all—Sustainably has never been more relevant.

Be a catalyst for true and lasting change. We believe that there has never been a better time to support the IISD, and you can do so through our Bridging the Gap between Knowing and Doing Capital Campaign. Help us meet our target goal of CDN $5 million.

We are happy to report that the Campaign Committee continues to receive encouraging responses from organizations, individuals, staff, associates and alumni of the Youth Internship program, all of whom strongly support IISD work in our province, across the country and worldwide.

Giving, as we all know, is up to the individual. It is never the size of the gift that matters, but rather the thoughts and emotions that accompany it. Every donation we receive is an honoured gift that will be used wisely and respectfully. That is why we constantly assure all our donors that each gift is treated exactly as their wishes stipulate.

Remember that when it comes to giving to the IISD, you have a wide range of options from which to choose. For example, some people are considering a contribution that works out to a portion or percentage of their board member stipend. Others will make their decision based on the urgency of specific program needs or which particular IISD program most interests them. You may even wish to consider a combination gift from private donations and corporate giving. The choice is yours.

We continue to receive a growing percentage of gifts from organizations and individuals on a daily basis. And for that, we are truly grateful; it adds lustre and strength to an already very successful campaign.
